Latitude and Longitude

Today Miss Szymanik helped us to understand Latitude and Longitude are.

We wrote this together as a class.

Latitude is an invisible horizontal line that runs around the Earth from East to West.

It begins at the equator where its coordinates are 0 degrees.

Longitude is the invisible vertical line that runs around the Earth from North to South.

The Prime Meridian is where its coordinates are 0 degrees.

Latitude and Longitude help us to find and label every place in the world.

The Highlights Of My Holiday

Dear Uncle,

In the holidays I went to Tonga. I had so much fun there because I got to swim around the blow holes.
We also got to eat tasty food that had lamb and taro leaves all together. I got to see the pigs and dogs that are so cute. I had lots of fun in Tonga.
